Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ to be re-released in theaters across the world

The espionage thriller directed by Aditya Dhar, starring Ranveer Singh, released on December 05, 2025 and became a massive success. The film grossed ₹1,300 crore globally, of which a total of ₹1,000 crore came from the Indian market.

Jio Studios and B62 Studios are bringing global blockbusters stalwart Returns to the big screen in a rare and exciting theatrical re-release across approximately 500 screens worldwide, including 250 screens across India starting March 12 and 250 overseas screens starting March 13, a press release said.

It notes that, in North America alone, the film will return to theaters on approximately 185 screens, indicating extraordinary anticipation for the next chapter.

Second part, title Dhurandhar: RevengeIt is set to release in theaters on March 19 coinciding with the festival of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid.

While the first part was only available in Hindi, the sequel will expand its reach with dubbed versions available in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

creator of Dhurandhar: Revenge The film is hosting special premiere screenings in the United States and Canada on March 18, a day before its global release.

The press release states that these premieres will take place largely on premium large format (PLF) screens, featuring wall-to-wall wide screens, immersive sound systems such as Dolby Atmos, enhanced projection and luxury seating, a format reserved for major Hollywood event films.

Set in Karachi’s Lyari city, an area known for its history of gang wars and violent turf battles, stalwart Kandahar revolves around covert intelligence operations against the backdrop of geopolitical and terrorist events such as the plane hijacking, 2001 Parliament attack and 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

The sequel will follow Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza Ali Mazari’s rise in the Karachi underworld, as well as his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, tracing the journey of the young man who eventually transforms into a covert operative.

Actors R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi are returning for the second part. The film is produced by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar.
