Former Bihar government minister and Janashakti Janata Dal chief Tej Pratap Yadav was arrested on Saturday night.
After his arrest, he was sent to Beur jail of the historical capital Patna for 14 days.
Actually, Tej Pratap Yadav had participated in the Bihar Bandh organized in Patna on 25th July. Meanwhile, the police detained him for some time, but was later released.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Tejashwi Yadav said The arrest of our elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav and other sections have been reported.
The flamboyant Yadav said, “We salute all the students for starting the movement against paper likes. They created Battle Girl for their rights and better future.”
He said, “All Catholic churches of the faith have supported their demands and we have also joined this movement. But now there is a big question. After yesterday’s seclusion, what will happen to the cases involving people in the movement? Thousands of people joined in the states where these demonstrations took place.”
Earlier on Saturday evening, the police had taken Tej Pratap Yadav with them from a mall in Patna. The police took him to Naubatpur police station, where he was produced before the magistrate late at night. Currently he is lodged in Beur jail.
Tej Pratap Yadav’s lawyer Jagannath Singh said that he has just received the arrest memo, whereas the copy of FF Tour has not been provided yet.
He said that Tej Pratap Yadav has been booked under Section 109 and sections related to obstructing government work.

It is believed that Tej Pratap Yadav had recently appealed to social media ally Cockroach Public Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke in the Bihar movement.
While going for registration, Tej was seen hanging from the door of Pratap Yadav’s police car. He said, “We are standing shoulder to shoulder with the students. If there is a drought, I am ready to sacrifice my life for the rights of the students.”
After the popularity of Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Prasad Yadav, he formed his own party.
Tej Pratap Yadav has been the Health Minister in the Nitish Kumar government of Bihar.

During the movement demanding the resignation of Democrat Pradhan, who was the Education Minister, girl students and students had also protested in Bihar.
Protests had started in many districts of the capital Patna.
Bihar Bandh was booked on Saturday 25th July. But on the same day, Democrat Pradhan resigned from his post and after acceptance from the government, CJP also withdrew its agitation.
But since Saturday morning, there have been jams, violence and vandalism in many districts of Bihar.
A picture from Siwan district is going viral, in which it is being claimed that AK-47 bullets are being fired on an immoral ideology.
According to the theory, three youths were injured in this incident.

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav has expressed concern over the Siwan incident. In his post he criticized the government and demanded action against terrorists.
In his post he is written“During the student demonstration in Siwan, the police lathi-charged the students. Weapons including AK-47 were snatched away. When a criminal guilty of 7 murders will become the Chief Minister, then the police opened fire on the students protesting for democracy. Action should be taken against the student officers.”
Siwan Superintendent of Police Purna Kumar Jha, while talking to Das, confirmed that some people were injured in the firing.
He said, “The police opened fire in self-defense when some anti-social elements entered among them and attacked the police at Fairing. We are yet to find out whether those who have been injured are due to the needs of the police or because of the friendship of the youth. Because Fairing has become friends with both.”
Along with Siwan, in Chhapra also many places were created between restaurants and police. During the violent protests, police was broken and vandalism also took place. The police also lathicharged the students and released gas shells.
