Investing.com – Germany shares were lower at the close on Monday, as , and sectors fell.
It was down 0.23% at the close in Frankfurt, while the index lost 0.46% and the index lost 0.69%.
The best performers of the session were SAP SE (ETR), rising 2.24% or 3.12 points to trade at 142.50. Meanwhile, in late trade Rhinemetal AG (ETR:) was up 2.16% or 31.60 points at 1,495.40 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:) was up 1.67% or 0.67 points at 40.79.
The session’s worst performers were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:), which fell 6.07% or 1.88 points to trade at 29.11. Continental AG ON (ETR:) fell 2.33% or 1.52 points to 63.64 and Deutsche Post AG NA ON (ETR:) fell 1.83% or 0.90 points to 48.24.
The top performers on the MDAX were Flatexdegiro AG (ETR:) which rose 4.32% to 35.70, TKMS GmbH (ETR:) which rose 3.38% to 85.70 and Stroer SE (ETR:) which rose 3.01% to 35.60.
The worst performers were Fraport AG (ETR:) which was down 4.45% to 76.15 in late trade, Extron SE (ETR:) which fell 3.72% to 36.75 and Knorr-Bremse AG (ETR:) which fell 2.92% to 103.10.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG ON (ETR:) which rose 3.75% to 4.70, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 2.71% to close at 78.80 and SAP SE (ETR:) which rose 2.24% to 142.50.
The worst performers were Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was down 6.07% to 29.11 in late trading, SUSS Microtech SE (ETR:) which fell 4.92% to 57.95 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which fell 3.95% to 45.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 368 to 262 and 18 closed unchanged.
The index measuring the implied volatility of DAX options fell 5.65% to 22.01, a new one-month low.
Gold futures for June delivery were down 1.04% or 50.00 at $4,737.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, crude for May delivery rose 6.35% or 6.13 to $102.70 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 7.12% or 6.78 to $101.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged by 0.08% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP was unchanged by 0.03% to 0.87.
US dollar index futures were up 0.12% at 98.56.
