Alanis Morissette, Mötley Crüe, Feist among FIFA music artists in Toronto and Vancouver

As the countdown to the FIFA World Cup continues, host cities Toronto and Vancouver have released their respective fan festival concert lineups.

Toronto’s Fan Festival celebration will kick off on June 11 at Fort York with performances from rapper Wyclef Jean, DJ Scratch Bastid and Walk Off the Earth. The choir is also scheduled to perform during the FIFA Fan Festival Toronto in Fort York! Choir! Other artists including Choir!, Shad, cover band Dwayne Gretzky, Juno winners Snotty Nose Rage Kids and Julie Black.

In Vancouver, signature concerts are scheduled for July 12 and 17, featuring Mötley Crüe, Finger Eleven, Torque and Vancouver-born DJ and producer Grayson Rapp. Nearly 70 headliners and supporting acts have also been nominated, including Arkells, Feist, Metric, Our Lady Peace, Ziggy Marley, Shawn Desman, Crystal Shawanda and Wolf Parade. The performances take place at the PNE grounds.

Fan festivals in Toronto and Vancouver will also include food, live-match broadcasts and interactive activities. Both will run till July 19.

The fan festival announcements follow the news that, on June 12, Toronto will host Canada’s opening ceremony for the FIFA World Cup 2026, featuring performances by Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, Jessie Reyez and Alessia Cara. The ceremony will take place at BMO Field, which has been renamed Toronto Stadium during the World Cup.

This year’s World Cup will also feature a halftime show by Madonna, Shakira and BTS at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey during the tournament’s final match on July 19. The performance will be emceed by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and will be broadcast live.

The World Cup starts on 11 June and ends on 19 July. The first game on Canadian soil, a Group B match between Canada and Bosnia-Herzegovina, will take place on June 12 in Toronto.

Canada Soccer’s World Cup album, ‘What If It All Goes Right?’ Drake producer Boi-1da is behind it. Tapping everyone from Nelly Furtado to The Tragically Hip to Alessia Cara, he said he wanted to show that Canada’s music scene can compete with any country in the world.
