Shiromani Akali Dal has made serious allegations against Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of coming under the influence of alcohol. Punjab’s party Shiromani Akali Dal has released a video of Chief Minister Bhangwat Mann on X. Akaldi Dal has written on Twitter, “It is a matter of great shame that Bhagwan Man reached the Holy House Assembly drunk today on the occasion of Labor Day.”

Referring to the video, Akadi Dal said, “You yourself are seeing the condition of the Chief Minister and how he is behaving in the Assembly.”

Shiromani Akali Dal has further said that the party strongly condemns this behavior of the Chief Minister. On this day, they should not go to the assembly constituency after drinking alcohol. Shiromani Akali Dal demands that a dope test of the Chief Minister be conducted today in front of the entire Punjab so that the people of Punjab can know the truth.

Punjab Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa has demanded alcohol meter test of all benchmarks. He said that a Congress leader has accused the state heads of coming drunk, hence all the breakfast should be tested with an alcohol meter. Congress alleges that the Chief Minister of Punjab has come to the Assembly under the influence of alcohol. Therefore, go to class for alcometer test of all the balance. He said serious allegations have been leveled against the “head of the state”, so every leader should be tested to find out the truth.

Launch of 15 percent minimum wage increase

Meanwhile, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has announced a minimum increase of 15 percent in Punjab. This group will be applicable for both government and non-government sectors. Mann said that the Assembly started on a good note for May Day but Congress always lays the groundwork for a walkout. Minimum wage was scaled up in 2013 and has never been scaled up since then.

Responding to the MLAs in the Assembly, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that this special session has been dedicated to ‘Labor Day’ and he appealed to all the members to maintain reservation and the dignity of the Houses through debate.

Meanwhile, Punjab Assembly Speaker has rejected Congress’s demand for dope test/alcohol test of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. The Speaker said that I have rejected the letter from the Congress.

The AAP government has called a special session of the Assembly on May 1, on the occasion of ‘Labor Day’, to remember the working class of the state. Congress leader Waring questioned what benefit workers would gain from this special session when the government was “at the end of its power and that too in a weak state.”

This decision of the Seventeenth General Assembly came after seven of the AAP’s chief ministers (six of whom were from Punjab) left the Aam Aadmi Party and joined the BJP.
