Redmi Note 15 Pro series, Vivo X200T and Realme P4 Power

The last week of January is buzzing with some interesting smartphone launches. Redmi is bringing a Pro model from its Note 15 series. Vivo is introducing a new ‘T’ model in the flagship lineup. Realme is also launching a smartphone with a large battery of 10,001mAh for the first time. All these smartphones cater to the mid-range and premium sub-flagship category. Here’s a detailed look at what to expect from smartphones launching in India this week.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series

launch date: 29 January

The Redmi Note 15 was launched in India earlier this month, and now the Pro models are set to launch. Although not confirmed, the lineup is expected to have two phones: Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+.

Redmi Note 15 Pro+

As the name suggests, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will be the top-end model of the series. It is confirmed to have a 200MP MasterPixel OIS camera with HDR+ AI engine, multifocal portrait, and 4K video recording support. The smartphone will come with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will have a 6,500mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 6,200mAh battery on the 14 Pro+. The handset also has 100W hypercharge and 22.5W reverse charging support.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is expected to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which is a capable mid-range chip that may lag behind phones that use faster options like the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. Iceloop cooling will help keep temperatures under control while gaming. It will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 3,200 nits peak brightness and up to 24GB of RAM, including 12GB of virtual RAM. AI features like writing, speech recognition, and interpreters are also expected to be part of the software experience.

Redmi Note 15 Pro Series

Redmi hasn’t clearly stated which phone the confirmed specifications are for, but most of them are expected to be the same for both models. These include display, 200MP camera and AI features. The Redmi Note 15 Pro may get a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset and a slightly larger 6,580mAh battery, but with slower 45W charging support. According to a recent leak, the same has been hinted at for the more affordable Redmi Note 15 Pro.

Expected Pricing: There is no information yet on the pricing of the Redmi Note 15 Pro series, but it is expected to remain in the mid-range segment. If the same pricing strategy continues then the phones will fall into the Rs 30,000 category.

If Redmi sticks to the same pricing, the Note 15 Pro series should fall under Rs 30,000. At this price, the Note 15 Pro and Pro+ may be worth the wait, especially for buyers who want a premium design, capable cameras, a large battery, and reliable performance. Overall, the series looks set to be a strong all-rounder in the mid-range segment.

Vivo X200T

launch date: 27 January

The Vivo X200T is launching as the fourth model in the X200 series, and is also the first ‘T’ model in the flagship lineup. The smartphone will feature an all-50MP ZEISS camera system, consisting of a main camera, an ultra-wide, and a periscope telephoto lens. The phone’s camera is designed to capture detailed city landscapes and natural-looking images with ZEISS color tuning. The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset and will run OriginOS 6 out of the box.

According to the leak, the phone is expected to feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which is larger than the flagship X200. The battery capacity is expected to be 6,200mAh, which will be less than the 6,500mAh unit on the compact X200 FE. Charging is rumored to support 90W wired and 40W wireless speeds.

Expected Pricing: Vivo

For photography under Rs 60,000, the Vivo Travelers and manufacturers may value its balanced camera setup more than general performance. However, users who prioritize battery life may prefer options like the OnePlus 15R with a larger 7,000mAh battery, while gamers should wait for real-world performance and thermal tests.

realme p4 power

launch date: 29 January

The highlight of the Realme P4 Power is going to be its 10,001mAh battery, which is a first for the brand and also for the industry. This is a battery capacity we usually see in rugged devices, but it’s coming to a mainstream phone with the Realme P4 Power. It is said to have a 10,001mAh Titan battery, which is engineered for extreme endurance, and is claimed to deliver 32.5 hours of video streaming on a single charge and retains around 86 percent battery even after two hours of continuous gaming. The battery is also said to be built with advanced health technology to reduce long-term degradation.

The 10,001mAh battery will be paired with 80W fast charging and 27W reverse charging support. Despite the huge battery, the phone will be quite light at 219 grams. The Realme P4 Power is also confirmed to have a 144Hz HyperGlow 4D Curve+ display with 1.5K resolution and 6,500 nits peak brightness. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset paired with HyperVision+ AI chip. The handset will run on Realme UI 7.0 with 3+4 years of software support. The dual-camera setup on the Realme P4 Power will include a 50MP Sony OIS camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Expected Pricing: The alleged box price of Realme P4 Power was leaked to be Rs 37,999. The official price will be lower, but if it is still above Rs 30,000, it will be a huge increase compared to the previous lineup.

Realme P4 Power could be a good choice for users who want a phone with exceptional battery life. If long-term endurance is your top priority, it might be worth waiting for, although its overall value will depend on how the rest of its specifications and features hold up.
