Next-Gen Bajaj Pulsar Classic To Launch In India In 2026: Report

Bajaj Auto is preparing to revamp the Pulsar Classic range as the popular motorcycle brand marks its 25th year of production in 2026. According to a recent report by Autocar India, the next-generation model is set to debut next year with significant updates to the platform and mechanicals, while retaining the familiar styling that has defined the Pulsar nameplate for over two decades.

The Bajaj Pulsar lineup currently consists of three sub-brands namely NS, N and Classic, each aimed at different classes of riders. While the NS and N series models offer more modern sporty designs and features, the Classic series continues to sell strong, especially in markets that value simplicity, reliability and affordability. Despite its dated looks, the Pulsar Classic remains one of Bajaj’s best-selling motorcycles in the commuter segment.

The upcoming Pulsar Classic range is expected to move to a new chassis architecture that uses the engine as a stressed member in place of the existing double-cradle frame. This change is likely to increase stiffness and handling, bringing the classic model closer in construction to the new Pulsar N series. The update will also see the introduction of a monoshock rear suspension setup in place of the current twin-shock absorber, a configuration that should improve ride comfort and stability.

Bajaj is also likely to upgrade the 125 cc and 150 cc engines to comply with the latest emission regulations and improve efficiency without compromising the accessible performance of these motorcycles.

In terms of design, the company is expected to retain the ‘Wolf Eye’ headlamps and overall visual identity that has been the hallmark of the classic Pulsar since 2006. However, the next-generation model will reportedly receive mild styling revisions. Additional features may include LED lighting elements, a semi-digital or fully digital instrument cluster and better connectivity options like Bluetooth pairing.

The next-generation Bajaj Pulsar Classic range is reportedly planned to be launched by August 2026. Pricing is expected to remain competitive, ensuring that the updated model will continue to attract travelers who prefer the familiar Pulsar character with modern enhancements.
