Police investigation has intensified in the case of murder of Chandranath Rath, PA of BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari in West Bengal. Police on Friday recovered the second motorcycle used in the murder, while the case was under investigation, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) seized the explosive material for Uttar Pradesh.
A senior police officer said that the motorcycle was recovered from near Railway Gate No. 11 in Barasa area of North 24 Parganas district. This place is about 6 km from Madhyamgram, where Chandranath Rath, personal assistant of Shubhendu Adhikari, was shot dead on Sunday night.
Earlier during the investigation, Reliance had seized another bike from near gate number 2.5 of Kolkata Airport area. Investigation revealed that the number plate of that bike was fake. Now the police have come to know whether the number plate and engine number of the motorcycle are genuine or not.
The police are now also looking for a red colored four-wheeler which is being used to travel across the world. According to officials, the vehicle may have been carrying seven to eight people and is likely registered outside West Bengal.
Investigation had also recovered another car from the carrier of Mediumgram, whose Aadhaar number plate was also there. Police found out that the original number plate of that vehicle was registered in the name of a person from Siliguri, who worked in a tea garden.
UP’s connection also came to light in the investigation
According to the police officer, the Siliguri resident had posted an advertisement on a website for theft of his car. He claimed that he had received a call from a diamond from Uttar Pradesh. Police know that this case may have a connection with Uttar Pradesh. In this series, there are seven personnel of SIT Uttar Pradesh. The team includes officers from State C IB, Motilalhara (IB) and Bengal IB. The team will gather technology and ground level evidence findings there.
Elderly, a member of the SIT, said that many terrorists are moving forward in the investigation, but who are behind the murder is not yet known. The investigator is trying to find out what prompted the betel nut killers to commit this murder and whether any major conspiracy was hatched behind it.
Even after more than 36 hours of the murder, the police have not yet arrested any accused. Officials believe that there are clear indications of intentions outside the state in this world. However, police also say that without local help it would not have been possible for the establishments to take over the area so quickly.

Investigation also revealed that IV had created a WhatsApp group to carry out the crime. The paraphernalia is being checked by the police and surveillance has been increased in Jessore Road area of Madhyamgram.
According to the police, Rahul first chased the Rath vehicle and then seeing the opportunity, attacked. Officials say that given the manner in which the terrorists participated, it seems either they were familiar with the area or had the support of local entrepreneurs.
Looking at the list of cases, demand has been placed for all the stock of Adarsh. Mass testing is being carried out at various places as there is a danger that some of the original residents may have fled to the neighboring state.
