Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of his next film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ directed by Priyadarshan. The film also stars Tabu and the actor will be seen on screen again after a long gap of 25 years. At the trailer launch event on Monday, the two, despite sharing a good relationship with each other off-screen, talked about working together after a long time.
Tabu revealed that Akshay Kumar used to take her on his bike in her initial days.
Talking about their collaboration, IANS quoted Akshay Kumar as saying, “It was the right film for both of us. We could not get the film till now because she was busy at her place, I was busy at my place and Priyan sir was busy somewhere else. So, now you have got the chance. But now I would request Tabu ji and Priyan sir not to hold this grudge.”
Khiladi Kumar went down memory lane and talked about how he and Tabu have known each other for over 39 years.He said, “She is a very dear and old friend of mine. I have been in this industry for about 35 years. But I have known Tabu for 38 years, 39 years. Tabu and I used to go to dance academy together. Very few people know this.”Tabu immediately said, “Yes, he used to come to pick me up on the bike.”According to Hindustan Times report, he also said, “He is the same; he still wakes up at 4 in the morning and insists on going jogging at 5 in the morning. He still says, ‘Don’t eat this or that.’ It hasn’t changed at all.”Let us tell you, Akshay Kumar and Tabu last shared screen space in Priyadarshan’s cult film ‘Hera Pheri’. It was released in the year 2000.
