Eminent spiritual teacher and Upanishad scholar Raseshwari Devi Ji received the Seva Samman Award at the 2026 Spiritual Conclave Odisha on February 23 in recognition of her many years of service towards imparting spiritual education and increasing social awareness. The award was presented to him by Surma Padhi, Honorable Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly in the presence of many other eminent persons from the spiritual, public and cultural fields.
The Seva Samman Award recognizes Raseshwari Devi Ji’s ongoing commitment to promoting the Upanishad message to all people in various walks of life through public talks, meditation programs and other value-based programs to help them experience their everyday lives with spirituality at the forefront. The organizers of the conclave said that they have increased awareness related to ethical behavior, self-discipline and inner development for each participant through this outreach.
The event was hosted by MBC TV and BS TV and featured several eminent guests from the politics and culture of Odisha. Pabitra Sonta, Mangu Khilla and Golaka Mohapatra were just a few of them. Senior leaders like Arabinda Dhali and Priyadarshi Mishra were also present. Two Padma awardees, Sudarshan Sahu and Advaita Gadnayak, represented cultural harmony with their presence at the conference.
As a devoted disciple of Jagadguru Kripalu Maharaj, Raseshwari Devi Ji began her spiritual path after completing her higher education in Mathematics and English subjects. At the age of 22, on October 15, 1988, he took Sannyasa (a vow of renouncing material possessions) and dedicated his life to spreading the philosophy of Sri Krishna Bhakti (the practice of love for God through devotion) and the Upanishads (ancient Indian texts that explore the ultimate nature of reality). Rasedhwari Devi Ji has conducted more than 300 spiritual programs in 140 cities and 11 states throughout the years; But he has played a more active role in Odisha, where he has established 21 meditation centers and spiritual development centers under his guidance.
In recent years, he has expanded his spiritual reach through various digital media channels and provided spiritual learning opportunities to a wide audience in the coastal and semi-urban areas of Odisha. Their new outreach programs for children and youth, such as Bal Sanskar Shivir (children’s moral education camps) and Yuva Utthan Shivir (youth development camps), continue to engage children and youth through programs aimed at moral education, cultural awareness and personal development. In December, he also had the honor of meeting Draupadi Murmu, Honorable President of India, to celebrate his Sannyasa Day (the anniversary of one taking Sannyasa).
