Urban started off by saying, “I guess we throw you in the deep end, but in a good way, because the stakes are as high as they can possibly be.”
Starr emphasized that, “I think the real thing to see on an emotional level in Season 5 is that as far as the characters, and your attachment to the characters, there’s going to be some big hits in the very first episode.”
Urban concluded by adding, “Maybe that’s what will make you realize, “Oh, it’s true.” The stakes can’t be higher than that, and anyone’s fair game.”
boys Filming for season 5 ended in mid-June 2025, with the series scheduled to return in 2026. The final season will also feature crossovers with its spinoff, Gen V, Starlight and A-Train recruit students as part of their resistance group in the season 2 finale.
Whereas boys Season 5 will mark the end of an era, as a prequel series the franchise isn’t ending just yet, what risingJensen is on the move, with Ackles’ Soldier Boy and Aya Cash’s Stormfront. Ackles would also be featured in the final season.
