forza horizon 6The huge, impressive map is divided into different districts, instantly recognizable as you approach. Suburbs spread around the outskirts of Tokyo; Narrow, uneven roads, over which telephone wires stretch, connect clusters of ordinary houses.
Tokyo also has a Docklands district, an industrial space filled with giant cranes and giant freighters, and a delightful dichotomy between looming, brutalist architecture built for tiny, bubbly urban cars to roam around in.
There’s also the iconic downtown area, where you’ll see Shibuya Crossing, Ginko Avenue and Tokyo Tower – breathtaking sites tied together by dense urban streets, clever shortcuts and hidden paths, but all designed to support horizonHas generally fast gameplay.
“By combining giant verticality, glass, neon signs, advertisements for all kinds of things, with Tokyo we’ve created this ultra-high-density space that we’ve never created before,” says Ellert. “This is the most visual, radically different space we’ve ever created for a Horizon game.”

“One thing that stood out when our team traveled to Japan was how valuable it is to have someone there who knows the place, who can help you navigate some things that even a well-researched tourist might not know,” explains Ellert. “It’s one thing to understand it from your perspective, but that internal perspective is so important when renovating a space.”
